The Role of a Statistician Before, During and After a Clinical Trial

Statisticians hold a central role in products' clinical development influencing both cost and timelines. Their involvement begins long before the initiation of a clinical study and continues during and after the study is completed. Some aspects of the statistician work are operational (like final outputs production) but others are strategic with the ability to influence the total cost of the development, time to market and ensuring that regulatory agencies do not raise statistical concerns.  This talk will discuss the different roles of the statistician and the main stakeholders in each stage of the development.
